Police have arrested a 15-year-old in connection with vandalism to a menorah on the town green.
Officers responded to the green on Tuesday for a report the menorah had been damaged, according to police.
Detectives began an investigation into whether the damage was an intentional act or had been caused some other way. After investigating, they determined the menorah was forcibly removed from its stand and was thrown to the ground, causing the damage.
They were able to identify a suspect, and arrested the teen Wednesday night.
The suspect is charged with first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree intimidation based on bigotry or bias.
Because of their age, the identity of the suspect is not being released.
