
A man was in custody Thursday for allegedly running a delivery service that provided drugs to juveniles across Ventura County.
Benjamin Marcus, 19, was arrested Dec. 4 by investigators who accuse him of selling illegal drugs, including psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, ketamine, marijuana and nicotine. Marcus would use a variety of social media and messaging platforms to sell and deliver the drugs to minors, according to Ventura County authorities.
Detectives from the Ventura County Fentanyl and Overdose Crimes Unit served a search warrant at Marcus’ residence in Ventura. Authorities recovered about 73 marijuana vape devices, 7 containers of nicotine solution, 1 LSD tablet, 1 gg of marijuana wax and 2.55 gg of ketamine were seized from the residence. Over $35,500 in various denominations of U.S. currency was also seized from the home, police said.
Marcus was arrested and booked for possession of a controlled substance for sale, furnishing of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana for sale and sale/transportation of marijuana.
The 19-year-old posted bail and is awaiting trial.
