A group of students at Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale were hospitalized on Wednesday after they ingested “gummies,” officials said.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to the school after the students appeared to have an adverse reaction to the edibles, Broward County Public Schools officials said.
Five students were hospitalized out of an abundance of caution, officials said.
The district didn’t say where the gummies came from or how they wound up at the school.
The incident remains under investigation.
