The Wanamaker Light Show and Dickens Village officially reopened to the public on Black Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, delighting crowds eager for the start of the season.

The comeback follows a successful community push to keep the iconic displays alive after Macy’s closed earlier this year.

More than 1,000 Philadelphians contributed to the “Save the Light Show” campaign, helping preserve the decades-old magic that generations have enjoyed.

This year’s light show will run every hour on the hour, Wednesdays through Sundays, from noon to 6 p.m., until Dec. 11. After that date, the show expands to daily performances from noon to 8 p.m.

Wanamaker Organ concerts will continue to follow the light show twice per day.

On Christmas Eve, visitors can still catch the show from noon to 4 p.m.

Floors above, Dickens Village, which features 40 vendors with pop-up food and drink options, is free to enter, though guests will need a timed-entry ticket to manage crowds.
