United Airlines to provide nonstop service to San Francisco out of Bradley International Airport

United Airlines announced Friday that it will launch a nonstop service from Bradley International Airport (BDL) to San Francisco (SFO). The service comes as part of United Airlines’ effort to increase its presence at BDL, as well as broaden accessibility, the announcement said.

The addition of San Francisco follows previous nonstop service to Houston earlier this year.

The new service will begin March 28, 2027, and operate daily with a 6:30 p.m. departure, the airline said.

Mark Weithofer, United’s Managing Director of Domestic Network Planning, said the airline was “excited” to grow its network, now connecting the region to five of its eight hubs in the country.

“This new service strengthens our commitment to the region, offering customers greater choice and seamless connections across our global network from San Francisco,” Weithofer said in the announcement.

Michael Shea, executive director and CEO of the Connecticut Airport Authority, said they were thrilled that the airline was strengthening its presence at BDL.

“This flight connects our community with an important business and leisure destination while providing travelers with greater convenience and expanded access to the West Coast and destinations across the globe. We thank United for its continued partnership and investment in Bradley International Airport,” Shea said.
