My predictions. - Detroit and Boston will make the top-4 in the East, and one of them will represent the conference in the Finals. One of Atlanta and Indy will finish above Philly and NYK; - Thunder and Spurs will make the top-4 in the West, and will likely face each other in the conference finals; - Wemby won't be eligible for awards because of the 65-game rule. The MVP will be between Jokic and Giannis; - Most improved no idea. I don't get how that works anyway, and why young lottery picks like Morant are eligible; - ROTY maybe Yaxel, but I don't have strong feelings about this; - Since Wemby won't qualify, DPOY will be another big, but probably not Chet because he now has a reputation as a 'soft' player. Neither of the Thompson twins will win it because they'll continue to be used pretty extensively as ball-handlers, so their defensive impact will be somewhat sacrificed; My team Wizards: - Trae will shoot no higher than 29% on pull-up 3s. He will have negative on-court and on/off numbers; - Kyshawn George will have the best season among the youngsters; - Alex Sarr will regress and will look worse than in 25-26. But he will keep getting opportunities and playing time because the team won't compete for glory; - Seeing as Bilal didn't get a rookie extension, he'll probably be gone in the next 12 months; - Dybantsa will look good, but not Blake Griffin-level good. Just a good rookie season like Tatum or Brandon Miller; - AD will be by far the best player on the team, before he gets injured; - The team will win 28-32 games, finish outside of the play-in but above the bottom 3 worst teams in the association, and will get lucky in the lottery, landing the top-5 pick. Can't get the #1 pick, though, because new rules prohibit two #1 picks in a row.
