TCU football got back on track over the weekend, defeating Baylor 17-6 and retaining the Bluebonnet Battle trophy until next year. Jaden Craig threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns with one interception on 21-of-36 passing, Jordan Dwyer made six catches for 150 yards and both Ka’Morreun Pimpton and Ed Small (seven catches, 91 yards) found the endzone. Koron Hayward had a season-high three sacks, Jamel Johnson made an interception, Jordan Lester totaled six tackles and Chad Woodfork added a sack in a dominant defensive effort.

Since 2015, TCU has dominated its rivalry with the Bears, who’re 2-10 over their last 12 games against the Horned Frogs. Known affectionately by fans as the “Revivalry”, the TCU-Baylor series was rebranded by student councils from both schools as the “Bluebonnet Battle”. The renamed series came with a new trophy, a shield with TCU and Baylor’s logos emblazoned and a massive wooden base with the words “Bluebonnet Battle” enscribed.
