Court documents reveal new details in the case of a woman accused of stabbing her husband and their 3-year-old son to death inside a room at the Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania on Monday.

Officials said they were called to the resort in Scotrun, Pennsylvania, around 3:13 p.m. on Monday after receiving a report of a woman in distress.

When the woman called 911, she told the dispatcher that “she needed help committing suicide,” police said.

The woman, identified as Metallica Harrison, 27, said that she couldn’t find the vein in her neck in order to stab herself, according to an affidavit.

“I’m too weak to stab my neck,” Harrison allegedly said to the dispatcher. “I need police.”

She told the dispatcher that she had knives and said, “I don’t want to be here any more,” according to the affidavit.

Asked by the dispatcher if she was by herself, Harrison responded that her “husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room,” according to officials. She did not mention needing help for her husband or son, investigators said.

When officers arrived at her room in the Poconos resort, they reported seeing cuts on her left wrist as well as puncture wounds in her neck.

Officials said that Harrison told them she wanted to be with her husband Charles Harrison and their 3-year-old son.

Police found the bodies of Charles Harrison and the boy on a mattress on the floor. Charles Harrison had several stab wounds to his chest and the child had one stab wound to his chest, according to the affidavit.

Officials said they also found a plastic container next to Charles Harrison on the floor containing a brownish-red liquid, believed to be blood.

Inside the room, detectives reported finding a large butcher-style kitchen knife on the floor in the bathroom as well as a smaller knife on the sink. Both of the knives had green-colored handles and staff at Great Wolf Lodge said they do not keep that style of knife at the resort.

A garbage can in the bathroom also had a brownish-red liquid inside that detectives said they believed was blood.

Detectives also said they found several bottles of medication scattered throughout the room.

Metallica Harrison was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries. During her ambulance ride, she allegedly told the officer with her that she “f—– up. I f—– up. I just needed energy and strength.”

Harrison also asked the EMS team in the ambulance “why there wasn’t an easier way,” according to the affidavit. She also allegedly asked how deep the vein in her wrist was so she knew for “next time.”

According to the affidavit, Harrison told the emergency personnel that she had taken blood thinners and was frustrated that her blood was clotting.

“Every day, I work so hard,” Harrison said, according to investigators. “To be the best person, the best mother, the best wife. It wasn’t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child.”

Harrison family timeline at Great Wolf Lodge

According to an affidavit, Metallica Harrison checked into Great Wolf Lodge with her husband, Charles Harrison, and their 3-year-old son on Sept. 21.

Then, on Oct. 5, the reservation for the family was extended until Oct. 13, officials said.

Video surveillance showed the family entering their room at the resort around 6:53 p.m. on Oct. 11 and then Metallica Harrison leaving the room to use a microwave around 8:12 p.m. that evening.

Four minutes later, Metallica Harrison went back to the family’s room.

Two hours later, around 10:43 p.m., Metallica and Charles Harrison were seen leaving the room and going to the arcade at the resort before they returned around 11:22 p.m.

That was the last time the family was seen was on surveillance footage.

“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by a tragic domestic incident that occurred yesterday in a guest room at our resort in the Pocono Mountains,” a spokesperson for Great Wolf Lodge wrote in a statement. “It was an isolated family incident, and we’re cooperating fully with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those affected.”

Metallica Harrison is charged with two counts of criminal homicide. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 21.
