Maryland men’s lacrosse will be well-represented heading into the 2027 World Lacrosse men’s championship; seven Terps appear on the initial 45-man roster heading into training camp.

Defenseman AJ Larkin, the youngest Maryland alum, made the initial cutdown despite being the only player featured with no professional team. Larkin was part of a 2026 squad that marked the first time the Terps have missed the NCAA tournament since 2003.

Two players from head coach John Tilman’s 2024 graduating class also found spots on the lineup. Faceoff specialist Luke Wierman and defenseman Ajax Zappitello look to make the final cut after performing well on their respective PLL teams last summer.

Defensemen Brett Makar and Matt Dunn and goalkeeper Logan McNaney round out the star-studded former Maryland backline pieces. Logan Wisnauskas marks the only former Terp attacker to make the initial roster.
