The Willis Tower’s antennas will shine orange and blue Friday night in honor of Chicago Bears legend Mike Ditka following news of his death.
Ditka, who spent the first six seasons of his NFL playing career with the Bears, before returning as head coach in 1982, became one of Chicago’s greatest sporting legends. He died at 86, his family announced Friday.
In a social media post, Skydeck Chicago said the tower’s antennas “will glow orange and blue tonight, honoring his incredible legacy as both a player and coach and his lasting impact on Chicago.”
“Rest in peace, Coach,” the post added.
