Week Two of the NFL season saw a resurgence for a former Gopher veteran, and saw some of the young Gophers see their first action of the season. Jack Gibbons is off to a great start in Arizona, Boye Mafe also is in Cincy and Blake Cashman just keeps making plays for the Vikings. Below see how the ex-Gophers did in Week 2 and a look ahead to Week 3.

Jack Gibbons-LB
Gibbons once again was a focal point of the Cardinals defense in their loss to Seattle. He played all but one play on defense and 12 more on special teams and recorded nine tackles, one of them solo, a QB hit and a pass defense.

Rashod Bateman-WR
Bateman went from hardly seeing any targets the week before to being the Ravens #1 receiver with both Zay Flowers and Ja’Kobe Lane out with injuries. Bateman played 93% of the offensive snaps and was targeted nine times. He made seven catches for 88 yard and his first touchdown of the season.
Cincinnati Bengals
Week 2 @ Houston Texans
Week 3 @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Boye Mafe—DE
Mafe played 57 or 71% of the defensive snaps for the Bengals as they got the best of the Texans. He recorded two tackles, one of them solo in the win. He also added seven quarterback pressures of CJ Stroud.

Brevin Span-Ford—TE
Span-Ford played 21 offensive snaps and another 14 on special teams in win over Washington. He was not targeted on offense but made three tackles including two solo on special teams. One was a MASSIVE hit stick on a punt return.

St. Juste was inactive for Green Bay in their Week 2 OT win over the Jets.

Ersery played all 80 offensive snaps and four more on special teams in the loss to the Bengals. He did not have a great game allowing five QB pressures and a sack.

Justin Walley—CB
Walley made his prime time debut on Sunday night and got worked a bit by the Chiefs and Travis Kelce. He played 68 defensive snaps and eight more on special teams and finished with five tackles, three of them solo and a pass defense. He also gave up seven receptions for over 100 yards and a pair of TDs according to Next Gen Stats. He’s got some work to do.

Eric Murray—S
Murray played 60 defensive snaps and four more on special teams in the loss to Denver. He recorded a par of solo tackles.

Brosmer was not active for the game, but was the emergency third QB for the Vikings on Sunday with Kyler Murray out. With Murray back, Brosmer will not dress this Sunday as in Week 1.

Cashman was a major part of the Vikings defense on a rainy muddy day in Chicago playing 66 defensive snaps and one on special teams in the 9-3 win. He led the Vikings with 10 tackles, six of them solo and a sack of Caleb Williams.
