Dan Quinn spoke to reporters before the Washingt0n Commanders returned to the practice fields in Ashburn, VA today. The team is preparing for their first home game, and they’re dealing with a lot of injuries as they get ready to host the Seattle Seahawks. The big name is Jayden Daniels who dislocated his left elbow on the final play of the first half on Sunday. He is seeing a specialist today so Quinn didn’t provide a medical update. Quinn was asked about video of players walking past him on the way to the locker room before halftime that has been getting some play online. He said the referees weren’t delaying halftime and players needed to get to the locker room, but they did return to the field to check on him.
Daniels won’t play on Sunday, and Quinn also ruled out S Nick Cross who had surgery in Dallas after suffering an internal injury against the Cowboys. He didn’t return with the team, but is back home now. Several other players left the game on Sunday, and the team has other injuries they’ve been dealing with. Sam Cosmi is in the concussion protocol after a friendly-fire hit from rookie RB Kaytron Allen. Quinn said he would need to be cleared by Friday to possibly play this week. Brandon Coleman left the game with a finger injury and was replaced by Andrew Wylie. Thankfully Coleman should be fine and resuming his LT duties against the Seahawks. Quinn mentioned several players who are rehabbing this week including Javon Kinlaw (shoulder) who was injured late vs Dallas, Frankie Luvu (groin), and Chig Okonkwo (hamstring).
