The Chargers are 0-2 after losing to both the Cardinals and Raiders to begin the season. That was the “easy” part of their schedule before a truly unimaginable gauntlet over the next two months.
First up is a road trip to Buffalo where they will take on the 2-0 Bills. The Bolts entered this week as 7.5-point underdogs, per FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is current set at 50.5.
After scoring just 14 points apiece in each of their first two games, the Chargers will now have to find a way to outscore a Bills offense that’s scoring nearly 40 points per game (38.5). Josh Allen has been playing like a man possessed and is squarely at the top of the early MVP race.
Justin Herbert’s path is unfortunately trending in the wrong direction. He has three interceptions through two games against just two passing touchdowns. Remember when he threw just three interceptions in all of the 2024 season? That sure seems like a decade ago now.
It remains to be seen if the Chargers will be able to flip the script of their season, but if there was ever the best time to do it, it would be against one of the league’s best.
