We’re on Day 2 of the international break, which means now is a good time to take a look at some of the other leagues around European football. It’s early days still but we have lots of content to fill now between now and October 10. So let’s do a quick roundup:
La Liga
It’s early days, but Jose Mourinho is back at it again. Now in his second stint as Real Madrid’s manager, he showed printed images of incidents that did not go his club’s way after their defeat to Atletico. The 2-1 loss put them further behind in the title race. You don’t want to be six points behind Barcelona already.

Are we in for another exciting race in Serie A? Gian Piero Gasperini has Roma back at the top of the table, holding off Inter for a 2-2 draw at home on Saturday. Rivals Lazio are also joint at the top of the table (I also forgot Gennaro Gattuso now manages that side. What a callback, huh?)

Bundesliga
I have no idea what’s going on with Gladbach. They’re sitting bottom of the table with 16 goals conceded in four games. Eugen Polanski has already been sacked, and the club are reportedly now leaning towards appointing Alexander Blessin as his replacement (according to Sky Germany).

Ligue Un
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Paris are in the title race.
But this time it’s Liam Rosenior’s Paris FC, shooting up after claiming wins over Nice and Stasbourg (Rosenior’s former club). This isn’t to say PSG are out of it, but an early loss against Monaco (and Eric Dier) is not the kind of start you want to have.
