First quarter
UDFA rookie QB Jalon Daniels started the game for Tampa Bay and picked up one 1st down on the opening drive. Jags backup QB Nick Mullen began Jacksonville’s first offensive drive and started off with a BANG, completing a 34-yard catch-and-run off play-action to Hunter Long.
Unfortunately, that would be the only highlight in the game for a couple of drives until Long made another big catch — but this one was over the middle, where he was crunched by a defender hard enough to make him sit on the grass for a minute. The good news is he returned to the game soon after.
Second quarter
Jabbar Muhammad nearly came down with an interception off a tipped pass on 3rd down to force another Bucs punt. After a 15-yard return by Trebor Peña and a few runs by DeeJay Dallas, Cam Little casually knocked through a 61-yard field goal for the first points of the night.

Turnover! After both teams exchanged punts, rookie Wesley Williams fell on a loose ball to give the Jaguars possession inside the red zone! The momentum came to a halt, though, when Carter Bradley missed passes to Austin Trammell on 3rd and 4th down to give the ball back to the Bucs.
Bryan Thomas Jr. continues to flash. “The other BTJ” sacked Daniels on 3rd down with just under a minute left in the half, and Bradley completed passes to Peña and Trammell to get the Jags in “Cam Little territory” — but the second completion was called back due to holding on Kilian Zierer. That was enough for Jacksonville to just send everyone to the locker rooms.
Third quarter
The Jags went three-and-out to open the half, then Thomas notched another sack to help force a Bucs three-and-out.
Michael Wortham helped inject some juice into the game with a 19-yard catch on an intermediate crosser, then Dallas took over by hauling in a wonky shovel pass from Carter with one hand and rushing a handful of times for chunk gains. He got the ball to the goal line, scored on an inside rush, had the play overturned (ruled short), then he caught a touchdown pass off play-action to finally finish the drive. Phew!
Bradley scrambled into the end zone on the two-point conversion attempt.

Fourth quarter
Wortham made another splashy play on a 21-yard catch-and-run down the sideline, and again later on a 29-yard punt return. But QB4 Joey Aguilar struggled to get going, taking a long sack on his first drive, then aborting a fumble and taking an even longer sack in consecutive plays on the next drive.
But don’t think about Joey Aguilar. Think about cheese curds.
Wortham must’ve started thinking about curds — or at least about how to score points without Aguilar touching the ball — because he did more than flash on his next punt return.
Aguilar connected with Chandler Brayboy on the two-point conversion attempt.
