The Golden State Warriors went a few months without making any roster moves other than re-signing their own players. Finally, earlier this week, the Dubs ended that drought in a flurry, as they filled out their roster by signing high-scoring guard Brandon Williams and veteran forward Georges Niang.
There’s a lot to like about each move. Williams gives the Dubs some much-needed scoring, especially while Jimmy Butler III is out, while Niang is a trusty veteran presence who is well-rounded and fits the system.
There’s also a bit to criticize, less with the individual players and more with the fact that Golden State perhaps hasn’t really moved the needle this summer.
