Police are investigating a serious crash in New Haven.
According to state police, a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle but the driver took off.
The trooper did not pursue the driver, state police said.
A short time later, the trooper got off the highway and found the vehicle crashed on Ella Grasso Boulevard between Truman Street and Washington Avenue.
New Haven police said drivers in the area should expect delays.
There were no additional details immediately available.
