Two Waterbury schools reopen after being evacuated due to bomb threat

Wilby High School and North End Middle School in Waterbury have since reopened after they were evacuated Tuesday morning due to a possible bomb threat, according to police.

The schools contacted police around 11 a.m. about the threat, and police investigated and reported no suspicious activity at 2 p.m.

Both buildings were safely evacuated, police said. The schools were locked down, and police conducted a sweep of the facilities.
