
One person is in critical condition after a serious crash in Middletown on Monday.
It happened just before 12:30 p.m. on South Main Street, according to police.
A Dodge Dakota pickup was traveling southbound and a person driving a Honda CRV northbound turned in front of the pickup, causing the two vehicles to collide head-on, police said.
The female passenger in the pickup sustained serious injuries to her head and neck. Firefighters performed life-saving measures and the victim was rushed to Hartford Hospital, according to police.
The drivers of the two vehicles sustained minor injuries and were taken to Middlesex Hospital to be treated.
Police have not released the identities of anyone involved.
South Main Street was closed, but has since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
