Kaiser nurses, pharmacists, anesthetists, therapists and other health-care providers represented by the United Nurses Association of California/Union of Health Care Professionals in Hawaii and California launched an “open-ended” strike Monday, after failing to break a stalemate in staffing and wage negotiations.
