Patriots vs. Broncos Thursday injury report: Garrett Bradbury joins New England’s sidelined

The New England Patriots ramped up work on the Denver Broncos without Garrett Bradbury.

The starting center, who has amassed 1,191 offensive snaps from September into January, did not practice on Thursday due to an illness. Outside linebacker Harold Landry III and inside linebacker Marte Mapu also remained sidelined as the AFC Championship Game closes in.

Here’s the second injury report ahead of Sunday’s 3 p.m. ET kickoff at Empower Field.

DID NOT PARTICIPATE

Patriots

  • C Garrett Bradbury (illness)
  • LB Harold Landry III (knee)
  • LB Marte Mapu (hip)

Broncos

  • QB Bo Nix (ankle)

Bradbury, who saw every down in the wild card as well as the divisional round, held ironman status until the final two games of the regular season. As for the absences across the ball in Foxborough, both linebackers have missed back-to-back practices leading up to the visit to Mile High. A lingering knee issue has kept Landry on the injury report since late in the fall. New England’s sack leader went from questionable to active last weekend before playing just 11 out of 75 defensive snaps off the edges. A hip issue, meanwhile, has kept Mapu off the field during Broncos prep after logging 58 percent of the workload on special teams in the sendoff at Gillette Stadium.

LIMITED PARTICIPATION

Patriots

  • WR Mack Hollins (abdomen — IR return)
  • TE Hunter Henry (not injury related — rest)
  • OT Morgan Moses (not injury related — rest)
  • OT Thayer Munford Jr. (knee)
  • LB Christian Elliss (hip)
  • CB Carlton Davis III (concussion protocol)

Broncos

  • RB J.K. Dobbins (foot — IR return)
  • WR Troy Franklin (hamstring)
  • C Alex Forsyth (ankle)

The Patriots opened Hollins’ activation window on Thursday. The veteran wide receiver, who landed on injured reserve in December because of an abdomen injury, missed four starts before joining the limited in a red non-contact jersey. His return made it six partial participants for the AFC East champions. Count Davis among the others. The starting cornerback has been available for consecutive practices after entering the NFL’s concussion protocol in the final minutes of the divisional round. Two interceptions, two pass breakups and four tackles, including one for loss, were tallied before No. 7 headed to the locker room.

FULL PARTICIPATION

Patriots

  • RB TreVeyon Henderson (shoulder)
  • RB Terrell Jennings (concussion protocol — IR return)
  • DT Joshua Farmer (hamstring — IR return)
  • LB Robert Spillane (hand)

Broncos

  • WR Pat Bryant (concussion protocol)
  • TE Lucas Krull (foot — IR return)
  • OT Frank Crum (ankle)
  • C Luke Wattenberg (shoulder — IR return)
  • LB Drew Sanders (ankle — IR return)
  • S JL Skinner (quad)

New England’s full participants on Wednesday went unchanged on Thursday. Two of whom recently had their 21-day practice windows open. On injured reserve since sustaining a concussion on the first night of December, Jennings awaits a potential return to the active running back room. And at defensive tackle, the rookie Farmer missed four games with a hamstring injury. Like Hollins, both are eligible to return to a 53-man roster that currently stands at capacity. The deadline for moves ahead of the AFC Championship Game is set for Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
