A nursing assistant who was previously charged with sexually assaulting a child at a New Hampshire hospital is now facing new accusations concerning a different child.
Alexander Colbath, 25, a nursing assistant at a local hospital, is charged with manufacturing child sexual abuse images and possession of child abuse images, according to Manchester police. Investigators say they recovered numerous images and videos on his phone.
Police did not specify if the child was one of Colbath’s patients.
Colbath was previously charged in December with aggravated felonious sexual assault of a child. He has been in custody since his arrest on December 5.
A report stated that he had sexually assaulted a child being treated at the hospital.
Police would not say what hospital Colbath worked at, but his LinkedIn says he worked at Manchester’s Elliot Hospital.
Resources for victims of sexual assault are available through the National Sexual Violence Resources Center and the National Sexual Assault Telephone Hotline at 800-656-4673, and Massachusetts provides this list of statewide and resources for sexual assault survivors.
Elliot Hospital did not specifically confirm that Colbath worked there when asked in December, but issued a statement saying, “The safety of our patients, staff, and visitors at Elliot Health System is our highest priority,” while referring additional questions to local authorities.
Police said their investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about Colbath or relevant to the investigation is urged to call police.
