Emergency preparedness resources available for Super Bowl LX

We don’t know yet what two teams will compete in Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8, but one plan already is written: the safety plan.

Text alerts now are available for fans and locals to subscribe to, which will not only notify about emergencies but also about traffic disruptions or severe weather.

Fans and locals can also follow the Santa Clara County Office of Emergency Management on social media at SCCOEM.

Hundreds of thousands of fans will be at the Big Game, at the NFL experience, watch parties and going to local businesses.

In San Jose alone, there will be 13 concerts, which is a big initiative to show the nation that the Bay Area can be fun and safe.

NBC Bay Area’s Kris Sanchez has more in the video above.
