Crazy, the most progressive state in the country has these outcomes for black students. Sac State has a MLK Study Hall for black students with black culture education, black student success information, offers quiet study areas, mental and financial resources, reduced tuition, tutoring, special programs for black students, etc., not to mention mandatory cultural awareness classes in all California schools which would be better spent on additional math, reading, writing classes for all students.
