Man, this Indian is so desperate to draw in Singapore, or for that matter any third-party outside the US, to intervene in the so-called Chinese "invasion" of Taiwan, otherwise known as the liberation of Taiwan by the motherland. Or, as the author suggests, to "deter" China.
Look at the excuses the author invokes to justify Singapore's involvement: global trade, troops stationed and training in Taiwan, and even the potential block of the withdrawal of those troops. The author is so desperate that he even wants to put those Singapore installations and troops as the tripwire to prevent--or, deter--China's reunification of Taiwan, going so far as to suggest that any attack on these targets will trigger the US's military intervention and retaliation against China.
There are so many holes and fantasies in the author's arguments, it's not worth picking them apart one by one. One wonders what's going on inside these people's heads and causing such delusions.
