The Chicago Bears’ promising first season under rookie head coach Ben Johnson came to a brutal end on Sunday with a 20-17 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Rams at home. The loss came despite QB Caleb Williams throwing a miracle game-tying touchdown pass with just 14 seconds remaining in regulation.
While the game-tying touchdown pass to tight end Cole Kmet will be the play that’s most remembered from this game, Caleb Williams’ performance was a mixed bag, 23 of 42 passes for 257 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
More importantly, he was 10 for 23 with a touchdown and two interceptions in the second half and overtime, with his last pick coming when the Bears had the chance to win the game with a field goal.
That interception, however, may not have been his fault, as both former NFL players and fans alike are placing the blame on wide receiver DJ Moore for quitting on the route.

Longtime NFL backup quarterback Chase Daniel broke down the play in detail on Twitter, with Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens also agreeing that Moore is to blame.

HoF signal-caller and Super Bowl winner Kurt Warner also had some issues with the route that Moore ran.
Looked to me like CW expected DJ to flatten and cross safety face and DJ just stayed high and ran to be covered???

According to reports, Moore was not spotted in the locker room during media availability and therefore did not take any questions from reporters.
