Arizona Cardinals schedule second interview with Robert Saleh
The Arizona Cardinals may have a shot. Robert Saleh has scheduled a second interview with the Arizona Cardinals before his second interview with the Tennessee Titans. 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh is scheduled for an in-person second interview Tuesday for the Cardinals head coaching job, per sources. Saleh is interviewing with the Titans right now. If they don’t hire him, he’ll get on the plane to Arizona. pic.twitter.com/rEMjqzUCAe— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) January 19, 2026 So, what does that mean for the Cardinals? If Robert Saleh gets on the plane, they have a shot to interview the current San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator. Now, the cynic in this writer and longtime Arizona Cardinals fan may think this getting out to the press before he starts his interview with the Titans is purposeful. However we have to hope that this isn’t a play from Saleh and company, and they have a real shot at a coveted candidate in a cycle where there are some premier jobs within the league open for the first time in a while. Saleh had been linked to not only the Titans, but the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers job. The Cardinals have been heavily linked to Vance Joseph, someone the fanbase have been adamantly against, so we will see how this all works out, but the Cardinals could get a second interview… Could be if the key word.

Cardinals NFL Draft prospects to watch in the Miami vs. Indiana CFP Championship Game

Chiefs are reportedly hiring Chad O’Shea as wide receivers coach

Latest PFF mock draft has Chiefs drafting ‘favorite’ to win OROY
There are over three months until the 2026 NFL Draft, but with the Kansas City Chiefs’ offseason underway, it’s time to consider what draft prospects the Chiefs could select with the ninth overall pick. On Sunday, Pro Football Focus analyst Gordon McGuinness published a first-round mock draft that had two popular names for the Chiefs’ pick taken in the top 3. The New York Jets selected edge rusher David Bailey from Texas Tech, then the Arizona Cardinals drafted Ohio State safety Caleb Downs. With the fourth selection, the Tennessee Titans are matched with Miami defensive end Rueben Bain Jr. In the remaining four spots before Kansas City’s selection, three wide receivers are taken. 9. Kansas City Chiefs: RB Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame As long as Patrick Mahomes is the Chiefs‘ quarterback, opposing defenses will have reason to worry. A dynamic running back would only lift Kansas City’s attack in 2026. Love earned elite PFF overall grades of 91.1 and 93.9 over the past two seasons, and he averaged 4.5 yards after contact in 2025. He would instantly be the favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year if he landed in Kansas City. My takeaway In this scenario, the Chiefs miss out on the worthwhile defensive talent at the top of the draft class — except for Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese. Watching Downs but couldn't help marveling at Ohio State LB Arvell ReeseSeems like the perfect LB for today's NFL. Can play the run off-ball or on the LOS, but could also just be a 3-4 OLB all 3 downs pic.twitter.com/QvN70Anhf2— Ron Kopp Jr (@RonOnChiefs) December 28, 2025 He is certainly a premier prospect for modern NFL defense, but that is not necessarily the brand that defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo plays with in the front seven. With that misfit in mind, the best pick in this spot absolutely would be Jeremiyah Love. Kansas City needs to make the most of a top-10 pick, and he would be the most impactful pick here, all things considered.

Detroit Lions close to hiring former Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing
Well, that is something. The Arizona Cardinals offense in 2024 with a healthy Kyler Murray, a decent and healthy offensive line and Drew Petzing calling plays were nearly a top 12 offense in all statistical and/or efficiency measures. That lead to a lot of excitement for 2025. Obviously injuries and ineffectiveness hurt things, but the NFL still seems to believe in Drew Petzing, as he is close to becoming the new offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions per reports. Sources: The Detroit Lions are working to finalize a deal to hire former Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing as their next offensive coordinator. pic.twitter.com/yBRs33V7LA— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 19, 2026 Petzing in three years as the Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator had the Cardinals: 2023 – 19th in yards and 24th in points2024 – 11th in yards and 12th in points2025 – 19th in yards and 23rd in points He had a top seven rushing offense in yards in 2023 and 2024, and was second in yards per attempt in both seasons. He had a top seven passing offense for the first time in 2025, but the rushing offense plummeted to 31st in yards, despite being 16th in yards per attempt. That is what happens when you are 32nd in rushing attempts. The problem with the passing offense was that it was first in attempts, but seven in yards. Compare that to the rushing success in ‘23 where they were 13 in attempts and fourth in yards and ‘24 where they were 11th in attempts and seventh in yards and you see the efficiency was lacking in the passing game. He should have a chance to have a much more complete offense in 2026 with the Lions. Good luck in your next stop, Drew.
