Damon and his co-star Ben Affleck have been giving interviews while promoting their latest Netflix action-thriller, The Rip. Notably, The Rip also stars Teyana Taylor, Steven Yeun, and Sasha Calle, amongst others, and dropped on the streaming platform on January 16. Matt Damon recalls first impression of this A-list actor On The Howard Stern Show, Matt Damon revealed what his first impression of Pedro Pascal was. Damon was cast opposite Emily Blunt in the 2011 sci-fi romantic thriller, The Adjustment Bureau. Pascal also starred in the film as Maitre D’ Paul De Santo. Although he had a small part, Damon felt Pascal made a remarkable impression on the cast and audiences alike. The Martian star shared, “I’ve done cameos and things, and it’s a very, very, very difficult thing to do.” He continued, “In fact, this is really interesting… I did a movie with Emily Blunt called The Adjustment Bureau, and we were shooting a scene in New York, and we came in, and there was this throwaway part of a maître d’ who sat us, and it got cut out of the movie.” Damon recalled that he and Blunt watched some vital footage of the film and couldn’t take their eyes off Pascal, collectively gushing over him. The Rip star confessed, “But I remember Emily and I went and sat down and this maître d’ walked away, and they cut, and we both looked at each other, and Em goes, ‘That guy’s really f*****g good.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, what the f***?’” Continuing further, he stated, “That guy was really good. There was something just incredibly interesting, but real and natural… And years later, I found out it was Pedro Pascal. Not even a day player with anything actually really to do. Just his presence, we both recognized it immediately. And it was Pedro.” Elsewhere in the interview, Damon and Affleck gushed over their long-lasting friendship, their Oscar-winning film Good Will Hunting, and their new movie, The Rip. Not only that, the Odyssey star confessed that his wife, Luciana, thought Affleck was the “cute” one after watching Good Will Hunting. Originally reported by Anwaya Mane for Mandatory. However, fans weren’t prepared to witness the actor losing his cool when the team suffered a loss to the Mavericks. Ben Stiller rants over Knicks’ loss against the Mavericks Ben Stiller couldn’t contain his frustration following the New York Knicks’ defeat to the Dallas Mavericks. The super fan expressed significant disappointment on social media after the team’s 114-97 loss at Madison Square Garden on Monday. Stiller, known for his unwavering support of the Knicks, appeared to voice the frustrations of many fans during the Mavericks vs Knicks game. What’s going on,” the “Zoolander” star’s tweet on X (formerly Twitter) read. He followed it up with another post, saying “f———————”. “This is a team issue, not a player issue,” Stiller wrote in a third post during the Knicks game. The New Yorker further attempted to rally his spirits with a final post, stating, “Trying to stay positive.” Fellow Knicks fans are no strangers to Stiller’s frustration, considering the team’s recent slump of four straight losses and nine defeats in 11 games since New Year’s Eve. Concurring opinions poured in with one fan commenting, “we’ll be okay but it’s frustrating”. “Knicks are a damn mess right now. What happened to the team I love?”, echoed another. The Monday night defeat was particularly galling, with the team getting booed off the court at halftime with a 28-point halftime deficit. I’m okay with the boos,” Knicks head coach Mike Brown said in a post-game interview. “I mean, if we’re playing crapy…boo. If I was in the stands, I’d probably boo too. You pay [hard-earned] money to come to the game, and this is a form of entertainment for the fans; they know good basketball, and they know bad basketball. And we didn’t play good basketball in the first half, so I’m okay with the boos.” Brown addressed his team’s performance in his postgame press conference, expressing disappointment and briefly using an expletive, for which he apologized.
