Dodgers Free Agency Tracker: Kiké Hernandez, Miguel Rojas and More
The Los Angeles Dodgers secured their second consecutive World Series championship, and did so in epic seven-game fashion. As the offseason begins, the excitement of the Fall Classic will likely remain for quite a long time, but there are still some action items at hand for the Dodgers. With a few free agents still looking for deals to come back to the team in 2026, the real work now begins for the front office. Here’s a tracker for all of LA’s free agents, which you can come back to as the offseason continues and the players find new (or old) homes. Clayton Kershaw The three-time Cy Young award winner and champion announced his retirement earlier this season, and had quite the send off to ride into the sunset. Kershaw will not be going back on his retirement and decide play in 2026, but president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman did float the idea of an open-ended job offer for the MVP to come back in some capacity around the team. 2025 contract: One year, $7.5 million 2026 contract: N/A Miguel Rojas It is hard to see a world where Rojas isn’t wearing a Dodgers uniform in 2026. Even before his Game 7 heroics of launching a solo home run when his team was down to its final two outs to extend the season, his veteran leadership makes him an invaluable piece to the puzzle. Rojas had a productive season at the plate, and was a Gold Glove-nominated utility player. After already announcing that 2026 will be his final year as a player, it is more than likely Rojas is going to be back. 2025 contract: One year, $7.5 million 2026 contract: TBD Kiké Hernández The utility star once again proved why he has such an incredible October resume perhaps best encapsulated by his Game 6-ending double play via an outfield assist to Rojas. He’s also likely someone LA will look to bring back. 2025 contract: One year, $6.5 million 2026 contract: TBD Michael Conforto Conforto had a disappointing season, batting .199 with 12 home runs and 36 RBIs. He ranked in the fifth percentile in terms of Outs Above Average grading out to negative-8, and didn’t help the issues in the outfield last season. For those reasons and more, he was not a member of the postseason roster. 2025 contract: One year, $17 million 2026 contract: TBD Kirby Yates Yates battled a lack of production that ranked among the worst of his 11 MLB seasons, pitching a 5.23 ERA across 41.1 innings of work. Hamstring issues and lower back pain would sideline him at various points throughout the season, and he will be 39 years old at the start of the 2026 campaign. 2025 contract: One year, $13 million 2026 contract: TBD Michael Kopech The 29-year-old right-hander dazzled the mound since being acquired by the Dodgers at last season’s trade deadline, and in his 14 appearances this season, continued his elevated play. Availability was a concern in 2025, and after starting the season late with shoulder complications, a meniscus surgery shut him down for a few months before more knee issues ended his season. 2025 contract: One year, $5.2 million 2026 contract: TBD Andrew Heaney The veteran southpaw presented one of the most exciting potential storylines of the season, earning a spot with Triple-A Oklahoma City (where he was already living) towards the end of the regular season. However, his 0.90 ERA across four starts didn’t quite translate to the majors to cap off his 12th season of MLB. He made just one appearance, allowing three earned runs off of four hits in two innings and was not a part of the postseason roster. 2025 contract: One year, $5.25 million 2026 contract: TBD Photo Credit: Nick Turchiaro-Imagn Images Have you downloaded the new Dodgers Nation app yet? Three of the NHL’s young guns are in the top five in NHL scoring

It should be zero surprise that Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche leads the NHL in scoring at the moment with 29 points. He was absolutely dominant on Saturday in the Avalanche’s 9-1 lopsided victory over the underachieving Edmonton Oilers.

What might be surprising is the fact that three of the NHL’s young guns are currently in the top five in NHL scoring. Twenty-year-old Leo Carlsson of Karlstad, Sweden and twenty-year-old Connor Bedard of North Vancouver, British Columbia are tied for second in scoring with 25 points, and nineteen-year-old Macklin Celebrini of North Vancouver, is alone in fourth with 24 points.

The success of Carlsson is leading to success for the Ducks. Anaheim leads the Pacific Division at the moment with 23 points (11 wins, three regulation losses and one loss in extra time). Anaheim is red hot as they are winners of seven straight games.

Let’s take a look at the fine seasons of Carlsson, Bedard and Celebrini from a statistical perspective.

Leo Carlsson

Carlsson was the second overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft (only behind Bedard). In 15 games, Carlsson has 10 goals and 15 assists. He is a +11 with 19 penalty minutes, nine power-play points, three shorthanded points, three game-winning goals, 37 shots on goal, 111 faceoff wins, nine blocked shots, two hits, five takeaways, and 13 giveaways. Carlsson’s two hits have come in Ducks’s wins. The first came in a 3-2 Anaheim shootout win over the Florida Panthers on October 28, and in a 4-1 Ducks win over the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday.

Carlsson also leads the NHL with two shorthanded goals. He is tied with Kyle Connor of the Winnipeg Jets and Dawson Mercer of the New Jersey Devils.

Connor Bedard

Bedard has nine goals and 16 assists in 16 games. He is a +10 with 14 penalty minutes, eight power-play points, one game-winning goal, 52 shots on goal, 71 faceoff wins, six blocked shots, five hits, eight takeaways, and 20 giveaways. Bedard’s game-winning goal came on October 28 in a 7-3 Blackhawks win over the Ottawa Senators. In that same game, Bedard had his first NHL hat trick.

Macklin Celebrini

Celebrini has 10 goals and 14 assists in 16 games. He is a +7 with 10 penalty minutes, seven power-play points, one game-winning goal, one hat trick, 49 shots on goal, 139 faceoff wins, 10 blocked shots, 13 hits, six takeaways, and 21 giveaways. Celebrini’s hat trick came in a 6-5 Sharks win over the New York Rangers on October 23, and his game-winning goal came in a 6-5 Sharks win over the Minnesota Wild on October 26.

The post Three of the NHL’s young guns are in the top five in NHL scoring appeared first on Sportscasting | Pure Sports.

Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw Has Made Decision on Returning as Coach One Day

Dodgers Free Agency Contract Predictions for Kiké Hernandez, Miguel Rojas, Michael Conforto and More
The Los Angeles Dodgers had seven free agents leave the team at the conclusion of the 2025 season. Some of them — Miguel Rojas and Kiké Hernandez — played pivotal roles in October. Others — Michael Conforto and Kirby Yates — were offseason splash signings that didn’t pan out. Then there was Michael Kopech, who struggled with injury this year; and Andrew Heaney, who didn’t make much of an impact after joining on a minor league deal late in the year. And finally, there’s Clayton Kershaw, who’s riding off into the sunset as a three-time World Series champion. With the Dodgers having seven players come off the books, here’s predictions on the contracts they could receive this offseason — plus insight on what the Dodgers should do with them. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dodgers Nation (@dodgersnation) Clayton Kershaw Kershaw announced before the end of the season that he was retiring. He is very happy with his decision and won’t be back in 2026. Contract prediction: N/A Kiké Hernandez Hernandez had a down year but continued to make an impact in the postseason. He plays a key role on the team as a clubhouse leader and October performer. He certainly wants to return, and LA should look to bring him back. Contract prediction: one year, $7 million Miguel Rojas Rojas has made it known he wants to return to the Dodgers and retire after the 2026 season. His impact goes well beyond the field as a true clubhouse leader and incredible presence for everyone on the team. LA needs to bring him back on a one-year deal to finish out his career as he pleases. Contract prediction: one year, $6 million Michael Conforto Conforto joined the Dodgers last offseason on a one-year, $17 million deal, hoping to reestablish his value and get a longer term deal this offseason. The opposite happened. Conforto will now need to take a one-year, prove-it deal, and it won’t be with the Dodgers. Contract prediction: one year, $3.5 million Kirby Yates Yates joined the Dodgers last offseason as LA continued to build what they thought was a formidable bullpen. Little did they know his signing wouldn’t pay off much. Yates struggled in the regular season and didn’t make an appearance in the postseason. He’ll be 39 years old at the start of next season and won’t be back with the Dodgers. Contract prediction: one year, $5 million Michael Kopech Kopech was looking like the closer of the future during the end of the 2024 season through the postseason. However, he couldn’t stay healthy in 2025, appearing in just 14 games and missing the entire postseason. He’ll need to reestablish his value this offseason, and it would make sense for LA to bring him back to do that. Contract prediction: two years, $13.5 million with an opt-out Andrew Heaney Heaney joined the Dodgers on a minor league deal and made just one big league appearance at the end of the regular season. He’ll likely command more than a minor league deal, but it won’t be much more — and it’s unlikely to be with LA. Contract prediction: one-year, $3 million Photo Credit: John E.
