Well, I agree with MP Myles. The system is broken and it didn’t happen a week ago; past and present MPs were aware, but revenue was too significant to rock the boat. They heard stories when they initially researched the minimum wage 10 or 12 years ago. They knew when people started reporting irregular living conditions of people on work permit. Surely they heard about bars being raided on suspicion of their female staff doing more than serving drinks. They heard, when public servants were convicted for selling English test results. All of these are sides of the same Rubik cube, yet O’Connor-Connolly pulls SOs?! She can act insulted all she wants, but we need to hear the truth in Parliament more often. Well said, MP Myles!

$56m in subsidies over two years is "running it like a business"? I don't know any business that gets 28m a year in subsidies. Government should sell 49% of the airline and contract to pay it bonuses for meeting KPIs. I wouldn't trust government to run a lemonade stand and here we are allowing it to run an airline.

I happen to have NO problem with Carrie Ann, but to call Derek Hough unprofessional and rude for saying Carrie Ann was “crazy” is soooo silly and an attempt to create a story where there is none. How many times does anyone say to someone, “you’re crazy”, simply to emphasize that you totally disagree with their point of view! You’re not LITERALLY suggesting that they need to be institutionalized or ANYTHING of the kind; You’re simply saying, “I have a totally different opinion; I completely disagree with you.” Anyone who listens to Derek Hough can tell that he has a very good heart and intends no ill will toward anyone. To suggest that his comment came from a bad place is absurd! People are just so quick to make judgments about everyone, especially when it comes to negative ones! It’s a really sad state of affair we’ve reached when people have lost their innate moral compass. There are people out there, who, objectively, have an in bread meanness apparent to almost all (I won’t get political, here, however). Derek Hough is certainly not one of them!
