Light and scattered rain moved into parts of Southern California Thursday as a cooler temperatures settled in across the region for the remainder of the week. Sprinkles arrived on a cloudy Thursday morning with pockets of light showers in the forecast for most areas. Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible in some locations. Scattered showers are possible through Friday, but conditions dry out for the weekend. Rainfall amounts will generally range from 0.25 inch or less. “We’re mostly just getting the roads wet,” said NBCLA meteorologist Kelley Moody. “Things will be pretty scattered as we look ahead.” Below-normal temperatures are expected through the end of the week. High temperatures were expected to top out in the 60s for much of Southern California before returning to the 70s for the weekend. Warmer and drier conditions are in next week’s forecast.
