Missing Alabama boater’s vessel found 92 miles from launch site; search ongoing 54-year-old man

The vessel of an Alabama boater who has been missing since Saturday has been found, but there is still no sign of 54-year-old James R. Dawkins.

The Selma-Dallas County Rescue Squad recovered Dawkins’ 12-foot Jon Boat midday Wednesday south of the Robert Fl. Henry Lock and Dam in Dallas County. The vessel was found 92 miles from where Dawkins launched his boat five days ago.
