The team behind acclaimed Manhattan Korean restaurants Kisa and C as in Charlie is getting into the buffet game for their next restaurant, which has an amazing name. Good Time Country Buffet will open in the East Village at 166 First Avenue, near East 10th Street, in the spring.
For Good Time Country Buffet, restaurateurs David JoonWoo Yun, Yong Min Kim, and Steve JaeWoo Choi are taking cues from the Southern buffets they’d go to growing up in Atlanta. Expect classic Southern dishes like fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, collard greens, and stuffing.
According to the community paperwork filed back in October, the space will have 60 seats and offer food for $25.99, as reported by EV Grieve. It’s taking over what had been the Ferns bar, which closed in February 2025.
