NOPD wants $740K to expand controversial drone program: 'Drones on standby 24 hours a day'

Less than two years after launching a controversial program to deploy camera-equipped drones to crime scenes and major events, the New Orleans Police Department wants to expand its use of the technology in the French Quarter.
