Sources confirmed Friday that the NCAA denied Virginia QB1 of a seventh year of eligibility, first reported by On3. Morris petitioned for the approval based on his 2022 season, where he played only four games at Texas Christian University due to an MCL sprain. He is still appealing the decision.

In 2025, Morris threw 3,000 yards and 16 touchdowns for the ‘Hoos and was a hopeful return for many fans in the 2026 season.

We initially reported a strong first round of transfer commits, but the weekend delivered more promising news. While the transfer portal remains open until January 16, the roster is rounding out with nearly a dozen new commits over the weekend, alone.

Virginia swimming saw 1,156 fans in the Aquatic & Fitness Center (AFC) for their senior day on Saturday, a record-setting attendance for the facility. The ‘Hoos delivered a dominating performance for the crowd, with the women beating Pennsylvania State University 154-61 and the men winning 133-85.

Especially after seeing the ‘Hoos face-off against Isaac McKneely in a Louisville jersey on Tuesday and Dai Dai Ames in a Cal jersey last week, fans may be wondering about last year’s basketball roster and where they are now?

As Cville Right Now reports, of the 10 Virginia players that transferred to Division I programs, eight are starters and five are averaging double-digit scoring.

Specifically, Ames is finding his place as Cal’s leading scorer, playing an average 31.5 minutes a game. Alongside him on the bench is Isaiah Wilkins new gig as an assistant coach.

Elijah Saunders is starting at the University of Maryland, College Park and averaging over seven points per game. Meanwhile, Blake Buchanan is also a starter, putting up 10.2 points and 6.6 rebounds for Iowa State.
