A woman was fatally shot in South Shore Friday morning on the South Side.
Edshania Williams, 26, was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the 7100 block of South Ridgeland Avenue around 9:20 a.m. and was pronounced dead, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
Williams' death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office.
Police were investigating.
