May 11, 1933 – January 10, 2026 Joan Margaret Ponte passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on January 10, 2026. She was the daughter of Margaret Fagan Martland and beloved wife of Anthony C. Ponte. Joan was a woman of remarkable faith, intellect and creativity. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and graduated from St. Catherine’s Academy in Newport, RI. She had degrees in Library Science, Business, and Contract Services.
