Alabama under a dense fog advisory until Wednesday morning – visibility as low as 1/4 mile

On Tuesday at 5:26 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory in effect until Wednesday at 9 a.m. for Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Marengo, Dallas, Autauga, Lowndes, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon and Lee counties.

The weather service says to be ready for, "Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog."
