Most gaming tablets make you choose between portability and performance. ASUS decided that’s a bad deal. The ROG Flow Z13 KJP is their answer to that problem. It’s a 2-in-1 device that works as both a tablet and a gaming laptop without the usual compromises.
The Flow Z13 runs on AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with Radeon 8060S graphics built right in. That’s 16 high-performance cores paired with integrated graphics that can actually handle modern games. ASUS claims the unified memory design lets the CPU and GPU share up to 128GB of LPDDR5X RAM. That means better performance for gaming and creative work without needing separate pools of memory.
Built for Gaming on the Go
The 13.4-inch display hits 2.5K resolution at 180Hz with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It’s a touchscreen with stylus support and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and reaches 500 nits of brightness. That’s plenty bright for outdoor use and color-accurate enough for photo editing.
At just 14.6mm thin and 1.75kg, the Flow Z13 is actually portable. The detachable keyboard has 1.7mm key travel and RGB lighting. ASUS includes a built-in kickstand and a vapor chamber cooling system made from stainless steel and copper. The cooling setup uses 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans that push 70% more airflow than the previous model.
Battery life comes from a 70Wh cell that supports fast charging. ASUS says it hits 50% in 30 minutes. The tablet includes WiFi 7, HDMI 2.1, two USB4 Type-C ports, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, and a microSD card reader. It’s also compatible with ASUS’s XG Mobile external GPU if you need even more graphics power.
The Flow Z13 includes four speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a Command Center button for quick access to system settings. Microsoft Copilot+ AI features are built in thanks to the 50 TOPS NPU. Storage options go up to 1TB on a PCIe 4.0 SSD that you can swap out.
ASUS priced the ROG Flow Z13 starting around $2,000. That’s not cheap for a tablet, but you’re getting pretty impressive gaming performance in a device thin enough to slip into a backpack without thinking twice about it.
