TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro Unveiled: Paper-Like Display Meets Stylus Support

Your eyes deserve better than another generic smartphone display. TCL announced the NXTPAPER 70 Pro at CES 2026, bringing its fourth-generation eye-friendly display technology to a device designed for all-day comfort. The most obvious key feature is a dedicated NXTPAPER button that instantly switches between Color Paper Mode, Ink Paper Mode, and Max Ink Mode. This lets you switch between screen types without diving through menus.

If you’ve been following TCL’s NXTPAPER smartphone lineup, you know the company has been pushing eye-comfort tech for years. According to the company, the NXTPAPER 70 Pro delivers seven core eye-care technologies certified by TUV and SGS. The display uses circular polarized light mimicking natural lighting, blue light purification dropping harmful emissions to 3.41%, and zero flickering through hardware-level DC dimming. There is a Max Ink Mode that promises seven days of reading endurance with up to 26 days on standby, including AI reading tools like AI Outline, AI Q&A, and AI Audiobook.

Stylus Support and Core Features

The TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro works with the T-Pen stylus for pressure-sensitive writing and note-taking. AI handwriting features include off-screen memos and AI-generated covers, which lets you turn the display into a canvas.

The company’s eye-comfort tech also extends to outdoor use with nano-matrix lithography combating glare and reflections. The display delivers the industry’s lowest specular reflection rate, so you won’t struggle reading in bright sunlight. At night, SGS-certified dim-light protection adjusts brightness down to 1-nit with smooth color temperature transitions aligning with your circadian rhythm. Similar to TCL’s previous NXTPAPER devices, mode switching happens instantly.

The camera system features a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 32MP selfie camera. TCL’s MuseFilm imaging technology adds artistic touches, while super night vision mode balances light and shadow. Under the hood, you can find the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor with 24GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. There is also a built-in 5,200mAh battery with 33W fast charging, while IP68 rating handles water and dust.

The TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro starts at €339 for 256GB and €389 for 512GB, both including bundled accessories. This makes it a pretty good deal. It launches in February across Europe, North America, LATAM, and APAC.
