AWOL Vision Wants to Take the Smart Projector Throne with its New 4K Laser Aetherion Series

Perhaps one particular consumer electronics field that we didn’t expect to grow tremendously was the smart projector segment, with brands both big and small vying for the top spot in terms of home entertainment features. Take for example AWOL Vision, which recently announced the launch of its Aetherion series projectors.

The new range consists of the Aetherion Max and Aetherion Pro, both of which feature AWOL Vision’s PixelLock technology that’s designed to eliminate the blurring and colour fringing usually found in ultra short throw systems. AWOL Vision says that by synchronizing every pixel, the Aetherion series is the first projector line capable of maintaining full 4K clarity at a large 200-inch scale.

Built for entertainment and gaming, the Aetherion Max delivers up to 3,300 ISO lumens and a 6,000:1 native contrast ratio, as well as support for high-end visuals including Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, and HDR10+. It also runs on a MT9655 chipset and Wi-Fi 7, along with support for 1ms-class input latency and 240Hz gaming. AWOL Vision adds that it’s the first projector to offer Dolby Vision Gaming alongside VRR and ALLM for a tear-free, responsive experience.

The Aetherion series will be showcased at CES 2026 in Central Hall, booth 20410. The Aetherion Max will retail for $4,499 and the Aetherion Pro for $3,499, with commercial availability starting in March 2026. Interested customers can access early-bird pricing and bundles through a Kickstarter campaign launching in late January 2026.
