The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday accused the Congress of engaging in misleading propaganda concerning the trial court's decision in the National Herald case. According to BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia, while the trial court refused to take cognizance of the complaint, it has not dismissed the case entirely.
The BJP clarified that the Delhi High Court is still handling the ongoing trial, and in its recent order, the trial court stated that the Enforcement Directorate is permitted to continue its investigation. Despite the absence of an FIR and its classification as a private complaint, the case remains active, Bhatia pointed out.
Addressing a press conference, Bhatia cited accusations against the Gandhi family, alleging that Sonia Gandhi, designated as Accused Number-1, and Rahul Gandhi, as Accused Number-2, are involved in perpetuating deceit and propaganda. He emphasized the BJP's stance that the case remains significant despite Congress's portrayal of the developments.
