Alabama football’s offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb feels good about where the Tide’s starting running back Jam Miller is ahead of the Crimson Tide’s matchup against Oklahoma in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
Miller went down with a lower-body injury against Auburn. He missed the SEC Championship, but he was seen back at practice Monday, leading the Tide’s running back room.
“Jam’s always got a fire,” Grubb said. “He looks great. He’s out there running around today, did an awesome job. Feel like he’ll be full go, ready to contribute and help us get rolling again.”
The Texas native has rushed for 493 yards and three touchdowns on 123 carries in nine games of action. His last performance was one of the best he had this season when he rushed for 83 yards against Auburn and averaged 5.5 yards per carry.
