3 men accused of assaulting another person during Maine home invasion

Three men allegedly assaulted someone during a Monday morning home invasion in Livermore Falls.

Daniel Gala, Joshua Washington and KaShaun Santiago, all 25 years old and from New York, have been charged with aggravated drug trafficking, burglary, aggravated assault and aggravated criminal mischief, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

Additional charges are possible as the investigation proceeds.

Three men — including one from Livermore Falls, who wasn’t identified — allegedly invaded a Livermore Falls home Monday morning and assaulted a resident with weapons. Someone managed to call 911 during the home invasion and plead for help from police before the call was disconnected, the sheriff’s office said.

One of the men was detained at the scene, while the other two fled.

Deputies then went to a nearby residence connected to the suspects, and during a search, another man from New York was found hiding there, according to the sheriff’s office.

The three New Yorkers are suspected of trafficking drugs out of the residence. Inside police found just under a half pound of drugs, worth an estimated $30,000, as well as $9,000 in suspected drug proceeds, the sheriff’s office said Monday.

Using a drone, police later found one of the two suspects who fled from the home invasion lying in the nearby woods.

The investigation is ongoing.
