Second man arrested in deadly double shooting outside Pembroke Pines sports bar

A second arrest has been made in a deadly shooting outside a sports bar in Pembroke Pines.

It’s been two months since the shooting in the parking lot of Rickey’s Sports Bar and Grill on Pines Boulevard, west of University Drive, on Oct. 19.

When officers arrived at the parking lot, they found two men who were suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

They were taken to a nearby hospital, where one of the men died.

Detectives spent the night combing the parking lot for evidence, snapping photos, shining flashlights, and circling a red Dodge that had its back window blown out.

Police arrested 27-year-old Clayton Hicks the day after the shooting. On Tuesday, authorities announced that they had also arrested 21-year-old Richaun McKnight for the crime.

Both are charged with second-degree murder with a firearm. Hicks is also charged with attempted murder.

NBC6 spoke to witness who heard the gunshots.

“All you heard was shots going off and it was a number of shots going off,” said a woman. “It was 20 or more shots. It was a lot.”

Police haven’t released a possible motive in the shooting.
