Comment on Destinations lets you plan your next vacation right from Google Search by Lorenzo Montarese
It is more than an year who I’m trying to develop a platform dedicated to the travelers, in december, trying to find help for my project, I signed up to Google Launchpad and Microsoft BizSpark, they accepted my project with only the description (English+Italian) that I post here below, but when I sent a mail to the support service of Google Launchpad asking for help from Google, (with Streak) I saw that my email was opened many times, probably in different places and after any days they said that they can't help me. Today I saw this news and I'm asking myself if Google still follow the way of “Don't be evil” https://docs.google.com/.../1e8D.../edit... My fear is that they absorb it slowly, let me explain: These days I was skiing in the Italian Alps, and I read the news that [My Tracks] the app of Google to trace the paths in a simple and intuitive way, will stop working since April 30, 2016 https://support.google.com/maps/answer/6333516?hl=en 4 days ago the news that Chis Poole, the founder of 4chan, will work for Google, probably with the aim of relaunching the social services of the company http://fortune.com/2016/03/08/google-hires-chris-poole/ Yesterday this news .... I absolutely do not feel myself in the position of accuse anyone and I admire very much Mr.Poole for what he has created and the fact of providing publicly his email to anyone who needs to contact him, which is rare for a person in his position http://content.time.com/.../article/0,8599,1894028,00.html In recent months I have sent this project many times, to university professors, companies and people more or less involved in the IT world. By the views to the emails, the answers and phone and in-person interviews, I realized that the project has value and arouses interest in anyone who reads it, but apart from that, no one will give you help if you do not already have your own team. I tried to form a team, but the amount of work for three people is exaggerated and it would also be for ten, because these people will hardly spend more than a few hours per week to the project and the funds are not billionaires. I wrote to Google hoping to find help, because they would have both the forces that the interest to build the project, but overcome the "switchboard" level is really hard and only a person in a certain position of relevance could take the decision to embark on a collaboration. So I ask myself if there's a way to get to talk to someone important who has the power to decide whether or not to initiate a development path, regardless of what are the business protocols of the case. I hope that they do not take freely from the project, because it would be something really disturbing from a company that claims always to work for the common good, and has as motto "Do not be evil", as well as all our data…
