On Monday at 1:28 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated winter storm watch valid for Tuesday between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. for Sussex County.
"Heavy snow possible. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 4 and 7 inches possible. Snowfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour possible," explains the weather service. "Sleet or rain may mix in at times during the afternoon."
