This team has no receiving talent beyond Metcalf, and even he has been below the line most of the year. Trading Pickens was, hands down, the dumbest move the Steelers made in the offseason. It was like the Claypool trade in reverse. Apparently the Steelers forgot just how much the offense suffered when Pickens was injured last year.
In addition to that, Rodgers is washed. Period. He moves like a 42-yr. old man in the pocket. He needs to sail off into retirement and wait for the call from Canton. As for Rudolph, he probably feels like he's still in Tennessee. He did not look good in his very limited action today. Of course, when you don't have anybody who can catch deep balls, both QBs are going to look like chumps.
I feel like I'm a fan of the pre-Chuck Noll Steelers. Thanks for nothing, AR2...
