Taliban are the legitimate authorities of Afghanistan. It matters not what the West thinks. If you study the data, opum production in Afghanistan under the Taliban plummeted. It rose to its peak under, you guessed it, the US occupation. The CIA was trafficking heroin to top up black budgets. Terrorism also peaked during, wait for it...the US occupation. Remember, the ISIS branch in Afghanistan is supported by Western intelligence. The Taliban do not like them. The fact that the Pakistani Taliban is friendly with the Afghan Taliban is a brotherly Pashtun alliance. The greater issue I think is the Pakistani ISI and its proximity to Wahhabi terrorist groups and the CIA. This is where the US tentacles are reaching, and blackmailing, Pakistan.
