The party claims the government's focus on internal rivalries has resulted in neglect of crucial agricultural and infrastructural needs.
While the JD(S) criticizes the government, CM Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar recently met for a lengthy breakfast meeting, reaffirming unity and discussing priorities for upcoming elections. However, the party's high command, led by President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, will have the final say in resolving the leadership issue.
